    Great news! Thank you @cookieyesteam

This is great news! @cookieyesteam if we already have the plugin installed, are there any extra steps we need to take to ensure compliance with Google’s new policy, or is the plugin as-is compliant with default settings?

I have just received an email from Google saying that I am not yet compliant. So is there anything I need to do in the settings of the plugin to correct this?

Starting 16 January 2024, in addition to our EU user consent policy, AdSense publishers must use a consent management platform (CMP) that has been certified by Google and has integrated with the IAB’s Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) when serving ads to users in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK.

What does this mean for me? It appears that you have not yet adopted a Google-certified CMP to collect consent from your users, which means that your site(s) will stop showing AdSense ads and receiving revenue on EEA and UK traffic after 16 January 2024. What should I do next? Adopt a Google-certified CMP. Please refer to the list of certified CMPs.

    Hi @ibnat & @nealbo,

Please make sure that you have connected to CookieYes and enabled the option Support IAB TCF v2.2 from CookieYes Dashboard > Cookie Banner > General. After enabling this, you can also enable the option Support Google’s Additional Consent Mode. If you still face any issues after doing these steps, please share us your site URL so that we could closely examine the issue on your site and provide you with a working solution.

Hi and thanks for your reply.

In my settings I don’t see the controls that you mention. (I am using your free plugin version)

I do see “Reset settings Warning: Resets all your current settings to default. This action will switch you to the new and improved user interface and this action is not reversible.

Do I need to do the reset in order to see these extra controls for Google compliance?

    Hi @ibnat,

You are on the legacy UI of our plugin and should migrate to the Revamped UI to enable the “Support IAB TCF v2.2” option which is available only in premium plans. You can refer this thread for the process of migration. If you have any further queries on premium features, please raise a ticket here as this forum cannot be used to discuss queries on premium features.

So, to make my site comply with the new rules I have to upgrade to a 20 euro a month plan? I wish you had said that in the beginning as this is the support area for free versions of plugins no? Or am I mistaken?

To be honest, for my site that makes 30 euros a month in adsense to pay for server costs, its really not vialble to lay out two thirds of that for your pro version.

Looking at the adsense dashboard the generic service provided by google looks to be fine, easy to set up and obviously complies with the new rules.

Sorry to have wasted your time with this topic but if you had been transparent with your first answer the issue would have been solved weeks ago.

    Have a great day.

I am disappointed that this option is paid. I thought you are getting the certification for the free version since the forum is discussing that version not the premium one.
Since our Startup could not afford that amount I wish you a good luck
