I seriously hate Pinterest for causing the internet to be plagued with obnoxious clones, and now it seems G+ has jumped on this train as well. I’m noticing it no longer grabs the descriptive excerpt of the post when I auto-post to it, so I’m looking for ideas on how to modify the format I use so it still looks nice and clean on G+. It doesn’t appear to grab the default thumbnail either when I post an article with no images. Ugh.

Has anyone noted these changes and modified their message formats? I’d like to hear what changes you’ve made.

Google+ no longer grabs the descriptive excerpt of the post when you post it. It doesn’t matter if you use autoposter or share the link manually. Description is no longer there anyway.

Fortunately I can still prefix the excerpt rather than relying on G+ to pull the description like it used to. I’ll have to experiment and see what looks best.
