Yesterday I was playing with my site, making some trivial (so I thought) updates on the admin pages. Today when I logged in using Google Chrome the admin site and the main site are totally screwed up. It looks as if the stylesheet is not being applied. But when I log in on IE everything looks fine. The other WP site I am setting up looks fine in both browsers.

Any idea what could cause this kind of thing?

    Thanks
    Richard

    An excellent point, thanks.

@richsan I have the same problem you do, only that when i access my page localy, everything looks nice. On an external connection, it looks just like yours: no format what so ever. I’ve tried the default install on a xampp server and got the same result. I am using wordpress 3.0.3 with debian server. I’ve been looking for an answer to the problem for 2 weeks now and still got no luck.

hope to solve this one day…

It’s a Woo Theme. Try exporting your settings and reimporting them. Or ask in the Woo Themes Forums. Looks like all the line endings were removed from the style sheet.

so…does it have any solution? ….except that of reinstalling….which I already did?….thanks in advance.

I have posted a question in the Woo forum, and if I have any luck I’ll post it here. I’ll try the import/export suggestion also.

    Thanks

I found the solution for my case, so here it is in case anyone needs it, @flytagger, I hope it helps. The presentation problem you have is exactly the same as mine, but I note that yours was also a problem in IE.

Anyway, I had been changing settings the day before this started, so I figured it must have been one of the items I changed. It turns out that in the WordPress settings/general options there is a space for the WordPress address URL. I had (lord knows why) changed this to an internal index file. When I deleted that address and reverted to the default domain for the website normalcy in Chrome was restored.

So I think that comes down lack of knowledge on my part, more fool me for playing with settings I didn’t really understand.

yeah..I have my site on another pc localy, and if I change that to my external address, it keeps me on a loop when I try to log in where my external address apears instead of the 192.160.*.* ..so I can’t access any settings. If I change 192.168.*.* to link to my external address, it gets me to the router passwd form (behind ADSL)…so I really can’t figure out a solution for this.Don’t know if with virtual server for Apache i could be able to solve this…I am really stuck right here…

oh…and btw…my default settings after instalation…..the url contains my internal ip…like https://192.168.*.*/wordpress …so this settings are giving me the headache…
