Google custom search embedded in plugin

I have a client with the same issue with this plugin. Since they only use Facebook and Twitter share buttons, the code can be added to the post template (entry-footer.php in their theme) without a plugin.

For Facebook, replace the link URL with the code
<?php echo get_permalink(); ?>

This is a sham isn’t it? Adding your google search code onto others website without informing us

Thanks jpsteinwand! I’m not so much worried about finding an alternative as I’m worried about having this code on lots of wordpress sites.. But thanks anyway

This option should be off by default, especially when the plugin is already installed. I search for about 20 minutes before I could figure out how google search box suddenly appeared at the bottom of every page.

Please remove this ASAP or I’ll stop using this plugin.

You can remove the Google Custom Search. It’s an option under Really Simple Share > Share Options > General Options.

thanks! We’ve removed the plugin though, a plugin that embeds an adsense google, by default or not, is not something we want to use..

Sorry about your frustration. We had many requests for search functionality to be an option in the feature bar that includes share, follow, etc. Shouldn’t be retroactive though – we’ll look into this.
