After upgrading from Updraft Plus 1.8.8 from 1.8.5 I get an error message on the WP Admin Dashboard that says “UpdraftPlus notice: Click here to authenticate your Google Drive account (you will not be able to back up to Google Drive without it).”

NOTHING has changed, I just clicked on the “Update Now” option in my list of WP plugins. Everything was working fine, even had 2 backups created and moved out to my Google Drive account. After the update, I had to Activate the product and that is when the error started popping up. I rebooted my local laptop and tried again – same error.

How do I get this plugin to start storing backups on my Google Drive again? Again, nothing has changed, except the upgrade to UpdraftPlus 1.8.8

The latest instructions I have read do not cover the new Google Developers section, do you also have an updated manual to follow the process that Google requires you to follow?

Here is the error from Google:

Error: redirect_uri_mismatch

The redirect URI in the request: https://www.mydomain.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?action=updraftmethod-googledrive-auth did not match a registered redirect URI

I am already logged into my Google account when this error message is shown.

The latest instructions I have read do not cover the new Google Developers section, do you also have an updated manual to follow the process that Google requires you to follow?

Are you referring to these instructions?

It says at the top “Below are shown screenshots from both the old and new control panels” – is the “new Google Developers section” different to both of those?

The redirect URI in the request: https://www.mydomain.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?action=updraftmethod-googledrive-auth did not match a registered redirect URI

This means that you need to change your registered redirect URI in your Google developer console.
