    Hello,
my backups are working fine, but the old ones will not be deleted. (Storage is google drive.)
In my logs I found that error message

This backup set remains non-empty (f=0/d=1); will retain in history

and I think the problem my be related to that.
Any idea, what I can do?

    Thank you so much.

    Hi,

To help us work out the cause of your problem, can you please send us a copy of the full backup log?
This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    Kind Regards,
    Bryle

    Hi,

Your log is showing that the plugin is recognising your retention limits and is pruning the backups. It’s likely the backups were created before the retention limits were created. The extra backups will need to be manually removed.

Aaaah I see. – I was of the opinion that the timestamp of the backup counts, regardless of the date the rule was created.

Thank you very much, I will take note of that.
