    Hi,

I was hoping to use the above to create a Google Local Inventory Feed, but the only attribute I am missing for this is “shop code”.

Is there a way we can achieve this and add this attribute?

    Hi @sjmiller1,

    You could try the following:

    – Open the ‘wp-content/plugins/wp-product-feed-manager/includes/application/google’ folder on your server.
    – Edit the google.txt file
    – Add “87 4 shop_code” at the end of the file. ATTENTION! Use TABS between the 87, 4 and shop_code. Also make sure there is no Enter or blank line after this line. The file must end with a filled line and not en empty one.
    – Save the changes to this file

Now you should find the shop_code in the list of Optional attributes.

Let me know if that helped.

    Thanks Michel, worked perfectly!

Am I right in assuming I will need to repeat this every time I update the plugin?
    Thank Again!

Yes @sjmiller1, that unfortunately is a drawback of it. You could make a copy of the new google.txt file and just copy to the folder after an update.

You’re welcome, have a nice day.

Truly fantastic plugin. I just started using it and the corresponding workflow that’s needed to generate a flawless Google Merchant Center feed is extremely manageable. Very nice piece of kit!

As I was dealing with the store_code element, I came across this–much appreciated–thread. My only question is: wouldn’t it be a good idea to add the store_code [shop_code] to the codebase to avoid overwriting the modification down the (update) road?

    Hello @lbdee,

Thank you for your compliment! Nice to hear you like our work.

Yes you’re right. I already had that idea and as I’m now working on a next update of our plugin I will include this extra attribute to it. Thanks for bringing it up.

@sjmiller1: So as of the next update the “shop_code” attribute will implemented as standard in our plugin.
