Google Feed not Deleting Events

    Hi,

    Following the recent updates we are experiencing problems with events that are deleted in Google not deleting in WordPress. This has been confirmed on two separate WP sites.

    I have replicated this by doing the following:
    Create event on Google Calendar
    Update the Calendar Feed
    Confirm that the event is displaying correctly on the WP calendar
    Delete the event in Google
    Update the Calendar feed
    The event should now disappear from the A1EC calendar in WP but instead it still exists

    WP 4.4.1 and A1EC 2.3.7

    “On refresh, preserve previously imported events that are missing from the feed.” -> Have you selected this option when adding a feed URL?

    Hi Benjamin,
    Thanks for the response. I have carried out further testing and if “On refresh, preserve previously imported events that are missing from the feed.” is enabled the deleted events are retained in A1EC. However if it is not enabled they are correctly deleted.

    BUT we had significant problems in the past with recurring events where one of a series was deleted or changed in Google and A1EC not correctly replicating the changes made in Google One of the parts of the solution was to keep “On refresh, preserve previously imported events that are missing from the feed.” enabled!

    If we remove this from our feeds are we going to bring back the problems with recurring events?

    Can anyone confirm whether the problems we previously experienced with importing recurring Google events will return if we disable “On refresh, preserve previously imported events that are missing from the feed”???
