Well, its now a completely useless function. I believe the are headed toward using the new IndexNow protocol.
The ping submit URL:
http[s]://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/pingSubmit?bloglink=https://www.domain.com
no longer works so its pointless, and completely disingenuous, of you to to continue to support it.

You are quite right. I’ve created the GH ticket for this in our repository and this will be removed from the W3TC.
