when looking at the page source I don’t see anything referring to googleapis.com sailors and I do see the locally cached fonts.

moreover I see a lot of unopitmized CSS-files being loaded in the gtmetrix test, which is not referred in the HTML either. so might you be doing http/2 push or something else that somehow loads resources from an un-autoptimized page?

Thank you for your reply with some advice.

I don’t have Cloudflare plugin to utilize http/2 push installed on my site but do have separate Cloudflare account. I left “HTTP/2 Accelerates your website with HTTP/2” option off and don’t think to have anything related to that activated.

I somehow managed to get rid of one or two Minify CSS warnings but still a lot to go. BTW, I have Hummingbird plugin installed, does it have any conflict?

maybe hummingbird is doing http/2 push? disable hummingbird for a second and test to see if those google fonts are still loaded maybe?

I got more warnings after disabling Hummingbird.

I actually found out last night that Hummingbird has an option to disable Google fonts, so those warnings are gone now but wonder why Autoptimize’s remove Google font option doesn’t disable it.

I asked Elementor how to stop loading Font awesome, hopefully get a reply soon.

the only goal was to test if HB was pushing the fonts off course ??

wonder why Autoptimize’s remove Google font option doesn’t disable it.

as the google font requests weren’t in the HTML source, AO was removing those. question is how (by what) they were being (http/2?) pushed .. but good you have a solution ??

Yes, it’s mystery but I keep investigating. I learn new things from advice like yours, really appreciate your help.

If I remember correctly from another thread is was the theme pushing files, so closing as resolved. One less mystery ??

Yes, the recent theme update solved all the issue. Thank you, Frank.
