After disabling and enabling all plugins, the Google fonts are back again.

I don’t understand how, but the fonts are gone again…

I have deactivated and activated all other plugins one after another. The customizer is working again. I am guessing it must be a plugin conflict, but I have still no idea with which one.

I have the same problem. Only “Standard Web Fonts” show in the Font Family drop down. The wonderful long list of google fonts has just gone! Comparing it with my localhost installation of same theme(longform) where it works, I have not only deactivated but deleted ALL font plugins (WP Google fonts, Google font manager… etc).

Will attempt to deactivate one by one all plugins and see, and come back with results.

Note: Interestingly, text in site added when the drop down was showing Google fonts, is still rendered in my choice font. The newly added text, but goes to some default theme font. I wonder how does that happen.

    Sharing my results:
FAIL. Google Fonts don’t appear in the drop down

I eventually deactivated ALL plugins except, aesop story engine and form7. Ultimately I removed them too! Still, Google fonts did not return to the menu!

Now I am Deactivating…Deleting… Easy Google Fonts itself!
btw, my theme is long form and in a localhost installation all is working fine for another of site.

    PASS (RESOLVED)

Deleting and Installing this plugin again, has somehow made the fonts come back!
I am happy, and hope this state remains stable.

This has also happened to me, but after deactivating and deleting and re installing, I still only get standard web fonts, no longer have google fonts within customise->Typography

Same problem. Everything was working fine until the update from yesterday 1.37. Now the fonts are gone and the ability to work with the remaining standard fonts in customizer is, to say the least, severely limited. Removing possible conflicting plug-ins and deleting and reinstalling this plug-in makes no difference.

Is it possible to use the version before the update

I’ve just created a new project with Google developer and register a new Web Fonts Developer Fonts API and used API in easy Google fonts, once registered back into customise and all fonts now available.

Hope this works for everyone else

hey mtrewick–glad that’s working for you. I’m not tech-savvy enough to know how to do what you suggest. Might be able to follow specific step-by-step directions(?).

Not too clever myself but I followed the instructions from here:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/how-to-get-a-google-api-key?replies=7

Yes. Clear instruction. Thanks. Fonts are back! some of the key controls on Customizer, though, are still not working–such as font size for paragraph. Have you had this issue or any solutions?

Have found these options only available once selecting the font, there should be 2other tabs at the top under appearance and positioning.
