In this post (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/using-customizr-without-google-font-possible/) I found:
“…Yes you can pick fonts that are not sourced from Google in the live customizer > global settings > Font picker…”
I currently have Customizr version 4.4.20 installed.
That’s exactly how I did it, but that doesn’t work, the Google Fonts are still loaded. Have now removed all URLs from Google in the source code of Customizr. Then I installed another plugin to disallow Customizr updating. Anyway, the Google Fonts are gone now. Of course I installed the Google Fonts locally.
Or does anyone have a better idea?

That’s likely the best plan at the moment. Right now it’s fairly easy to not have google fonts displayed, but they are still loading in the background. We are developing an option where it will prevent them from loading in the background for 1) people concerned about speed or 2) people concerned with the EU ruling. In either case, I am hoping it is in our next update, but possibly two updates from now, depending on how testing goes.

How did you removed all URLs from Google in the source code?
I need to do it aswell

I’ve searched for “fonts.googleapis.com” and “fonts.gstatic.com” in all of Customizr’s files and documented the respective lines. It’s best to make a backup before.

Hi, I have the same issue
I was searching in the customizr files but cannot find “fonts.googleapis.com” and .. Can you give a hint where /in which files they are located?

    thanks

With the updated versions of the themes, we now have a disable option. You can go Web Page Design > General Design Options and tick the option to disable google fonts and they won’t load.

Hi yes. I did Update and disabled the google fonts. But still there is a Connection to Font.googleapis.com
    an still loading fonts..

@mltt Please send me an email at [email protected] with what you’re seeing on the connection to googleapi for font loading. This should not be happening. We’ve had several successful tests on this feature, so I need to understand exactly what is going on here. Thank you.

Hi dear Customizr Team, I have the same problem. I disabled the setting google font, and store the fonts local via css. But the fonts are still loading via google server. I have the newest Customizr Pro and the Font Costumizer Pro. How can I solve the problem. (I cant make a new support topic in my Pro dashboard on your site… )

    Thanks, Stef

Have you tried what I wrote in my first post? If Google Fonts are still loading, it’s not because of Customizr!

No, I dont want to go in the code of the template. I have the Pro Version. There is the new Button after the update with “google fond not loading”. I use the plugin omgf for the fonts to use the google fonts loading from my server.

but in all tests the connection is still to google…

    Thanks for your answer, Stef

If you have the Pro version of Customizr, then you can ask their support.

Yes ?? But the support desk doesnt work today. Maybe tomorrow I will get an answer. Thank you
