Hi, I am running 3 WP (6.0.3-6.1.1) websites for which the basic theme was custom-made a few years earlier by a now unavailable specialist. To become DSGVO compatible, I wanted to replace/embed the links to google fonts. Unfortunately, the plugins Local Google Fonts and Embed Google Fonts did not work: no google fonts detected (using the website previously opened); however, the Google Fonts Checker has detected them (see screenshot) and I can also detect “//fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family…” in the ftp-downloaded files. May be, the font links were not installed by wp_enqueue_style?, instead I could find the @import function e.g. in the css-file.
Is there another plugin doing the job differently ?
I am hardly experienced with coding, so a ready-made solution would be helpful…
    Thanks

  • Unfortunately, there is no all-encompassing solution for this. In many cases, like yours, you have to intervene manually. In your case, due to the source code generated by your theme, I only see the chance to adjust it. Find someone who can support you, e.g. your hoster. Or here: https://jobs.wordpress.net
