I have google fonts on multiple different sites using wordpress. One site I have that is using Ocean WP theme is the only site where Google Fonts functionality keeps breaking by itself for the past few weeks. Probably something do to with a theme update. Not sure. Either way, I went back and manually turned on admin > typography > “enable google fonts” and cleared cache, etc and the google fonts appear working again. I check back on the site a week later and whalaa the google fonts are not working again and when I check, the “enable google fonts” is not turned on. Nobody else has made any changes to the them or customizations. I am the only user. So how can this be? And is it just me? Please advise.

  • Hello @wordmax,

    Thank you for reaching out,

What versions of the theme and plugin are you using?

Could you check this issue in version 4.0.2 of OceanWP and 2.4.2 of Ocean Extra plugin and let us know the result? This issue has been resolved previously.

Can you share some screenshots or a short video of the issue you’ve encountered? Also, kindly provide us with your system environment information. To do this, please go to WP Dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info Tab and click on the button Copy site info to clipboard. You can send the information as code here or upload them to https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and get an exclusive link: https://i.postimg.cc/fbjtkFyJ/image.png (you can remove your email address from the content).

In the meantime, if possible, perform a basic troubleshooting checkup method and make sure the issue is related to our theme or plugin(s). To do this, deactivate all other plugins, then activate them one by one and check for this issue. Continue doing this until you find out what product is causing a conflict with our product. Then provide the details as explained above.

    Hope it helps.
    Best Regards

Facing the same problem – fixed it by re-enabling Google Fonts under Customizer > Typography.
Seems that it re-appeared since the last update.

    Ocean Extra v2.4.2
    OceanWP v4.0.2

    Here’ s the info paste.

I noticed that the problem only occurred on WooCommerce pages (single products, archives) and not on regular ones.
Hope this helps narrowing down the source of the problem.

    Hello @hliasant,

    Thank you for reaching out,

After OceanWP v4.0.1 and Ocean Extra v2.4.1, we haven’t had this issue and we have not received any similar reports so far. Kindly explain to us step by step how we can reproduce the issue so we can recreate it somewhere other than your website.

    I hope it helps.
    Best Regards

@skalanter Could be that I just noticed it after upgrading v2.4.2 since I have auto-updates enabled (low traffic website).
If I see anything related again I’ll investigate further and provide relevant info.

    Cheers ??
