• Hello Team,

I’m facing a rather strange issue – I have used a Google Font – Lora:400i on my website. While it’s appearing fine on my desktop versions (even simulated responsive devices such as Google Device Toolbar, it’s failing to do so on actual mobile devices (iOs, Android).

For a change, I changed it to Lora:400 and it worked fine on all devices. However, when I reverted the changes, the I encountered the issues again. Certainly, the issues are not with the Lora but with Lora:400i, the italics.

This is rather strange. What could possibly have been the reason behind it?

Will appreciate your help very much.

Here’s the website for your reference: https://leaguewp.com/. Check it on desktop as well as on your mobile devices.

  • I think a conflict is caused due to the loading of two font files at once can you check it you ahve loaded it from both google fonts and genesis framework

Hi Sakar, thanks for looking into it for me. Actually, I posted this query before installing Google Fonts plugin – something I have used in some of my other projects.

After posting this query, I tired several times to track the issues but failed every time, which led me to install Google fonts.

That said, if I remove the plugin now, the issues will resurface. I really would like to find out the cause that prevents the fonts from getting rendered on mobile devices.

Since I’m already using the plugin on this site, I wonder if this post will cause further confusion with regards to my original query.
