I posted an announcement in the wrong WordPress Support form and can’t figure out how to remove it and www.ads-software.com won’t let me post it again in this forum.

The future of the Google Forms plugin is in jeopardy now that Google has announced the end of the downgrade option. More details here and here.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Anyone is keen to find a way of crowdfunding so that this doesn’t die? Mike, would you be keen to work on this if we managed to get some funds together? Thanks!

Does it affect the form in use?

I believe so. The way I read the Google announcement, they are going to upgrade all existing forms to use the new format. After August 22 the downgrade option disappears and sometime after that, forms will be upgraded automatically. My guess is by the end of September all forms will be upgraded by Google.

I also would support and contribute to crowdfunding the development of a plug-in compatible with the new Google Forms. Perhaps you could make the new version a paid version and decide what to charge. I haven’t found anything else with similar functionality that lets me see my data in a spreadsheet.

yikes! say it ain’t so. i love your plugin. i would be happy to contribute or purchase a developers’ license.

Same here. Your plugin is sort of vital for my research so I’d happily contribute.

Yep. Had to move to gravity forms. Massive job migrating 20 pages of questions with conditional logic, testing, css styling, etc.

Yep, so went to do as instructed on a GForm and “back to the old forms” option is greyed.

Does this mean there’s no way for me to use this plugin?
