    The message regarding the crawl errors API does not impact the ability to edit meta data.

    You can change the SEO title and description templates to meet your specific needs with the steps here: How to modify the default templates

    You can change the SEO title and description for the homepage in the settings under
    Admin > SEO > Search Appearance > General (tab) or for an individual post or page by editing the post or page and clicking ‘Edit Snippet’ in the Yoast SEO meta box.
