My site, https://www.musicyouneed.net, seems to have some issues with tracking site hits, and I need some help.

The jetpack site stats registers around 100 hits/day, which I know for a fact is not accurate.

A site stats plugin I downloaded shows around 2000 hits/day, which is still low, I believe, based on my Facebook LIKES (6688), etc.

A third plugin, Revolver maps, shows 30,000 hits/day. I believe this to be accurate based off of everything I know.

My question is this- why don’t these match up, and how do I fix it? The issue with the Jetpack may be something in relation to an issue I experienced earlier this year.

I applied for Google Adsense, and when they checked out my site, I guess they found some copyrighted material (probably a picture taken from another blog). I have since fixed the situation, but ever since then, the site visits were low, and someone mentioned that it could be a problem with Google lowering my ranking because of this.

Can someone shed some light? I’m happy to give any more info as needed, but I’d really like to figure this out! Thank you, and please respond as soon as possible.

I hope to hear from you soon.

    Josh

It seems unlikely, especially in view of fact that you have a Google PR1, only 50 incoming links and a very low Alexa ranking. Your expectation from social networks can be correct as you get only about 30% of your traffic from all SEs (including Google).

A better figure, or a realistic figure can be the one that is shown by your Google Analytics account. What is your traffic stats according to Google Analytics?

I can’t seem to get Google Analytics working. I think this might be because I switched from WordPress.com to www.ads-software.com, while keeping the same domain name. Any reason this could be?

    Thanks for the quick response.

If the domain name is the same, your account should work. It seems you might have forgotten to place your Analytics code in your ORG site. Check it.

OK great, where do I post that code?

Just check (and copy) the number at line 131 of this report. Compare it with the number in your account and let me know. If they are the same, you have the code already in your site. If not, it could be your COM site’s.

    Got it! Thanks so much!

Glad to note that you could solve the problem.
