• Having a nightmare trying to get images to index in Google from Revolution Slider,

Prior to buying I asked if there were any issues with images being indexed by Google and like this thread:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/sliders-and-seo?replies=3

I was told similar “since when Google crawls the page, they always index the page’s HTML source, I don’t see a reason why they wouldn’t be indexed by Google.”

Problem is that so far they dont index via code on the page

    If you use Googles Webmaster

    CRAWL>FETCH AND RENDER

it shows the images with all necessary code to index

But a month after submission, images in the slider have still not been indexed. I suspect it is due to Revolution Sliders lack of support for sitemap indexing.

In an attempt to get images from the site into google I submitted attachment pages from wordpress, images from these pages have been indexed so I know its nothing like image naming structure that is the issue.

Of the images submitted via a sitemap under Google indexing 117 were in the sitemap and 107 have been indexed according to Webmaster tools. I suspect that just relying on page code being sufficient is not sufficient now for images to be indexed by google.

(There’s no reason why it shouldn’t work) as a policy . . . needs to be be redressed . . . as it obviously doesn’t . . . and people need to know about it !

Except for recommending you install an SEO plugin, you really have a Google problem.
