I have set balloon to display for 1 second on map, but google still indexing as so
    ABBA Tribute Night. Fb-Button. Loading Map…. Hilton St Anne’s Manor London Road – Wokingham Details. 51.41040539999999 -0.7985361999999441. Date/ …

Will i need to remove map on events pages to prevent this?

have you tried to add something like rel="nofollow" in your href links at Formatting > Maps (if incase you have added ahref links)

i have single event map format as so
    <strong>#_LOCATIONNAME</strong><br/>#_LOCATIONADDRESS - #_LOCATIONTOWN<br/><a href='#_LOCATIONPAGEURL'>Details</a>

so the only href is internal?

you probaby want to look into plugins like WP SEO help google find better descriptions to your pages, which can include locations/events

is WP SEO a better option than current all in one seo being used?
current description given on this event
<meta name="description" content="Enjoy a great evening with a glass of Bucks Fizz on arrival followed by a three course meal and live entertainment. " />

google seems to ignore this and take the first selection of words from event which is the title FB like button and map, rather than content of event or meta tag. maybe it needs to crawl again to work it out, maybe put event notes first??

You can’t force what Google will show or not show in search results snippets. The meta description is only a guide. Most of the time, it forms its own snippet based on the actual content of the page.

ok, but any benefit with WP seo over all in one?
i know sometimes it takes google a while to get a good description.

Can’t really comment on one plugin over another. You might want to google for reviews.

didn’t realize you use AIO SEO, they’re very good as well and should work.

may be worth adding some info above what’s getting indexed.

example, google “events manager neil young”, first two results are us.

yeah so maybe put notes above and map below so notes get seen first?
