As of yesterday I had a Google Speed score of 99/100.

I made some content changes today, cleared the cache (W3TC and AO).

    Now my score is 59/100.

Google is saying I have a CSS file (the autoptimize combined file) render-blocking.

When I look at the source code, the CSS file does not exist and it’s not in the header.

There is a different combined AO CSS file in the footer, where it should be.

Not sure how to fix this or is it just a Google bug?

Looks like it’s showing the correct file now, but still render-blocking. I don’t see it in the head…

    Thanks

Had a quick look, I would consider it a false positive (or is it negative); your inline CSS is loaded immediately, your deferred CSS is loaded late. when disabling the deferred CSS (in Firefox developer toolbar -> style editor) and the inlined CSS still active, your above the fold content looks styled perfectly. off course, when disabling the google fonts CSS as well, your fonts fall back to a browser-native one (as the critical CSS does not come with fonts embedded), which does impact rendering to some extent.

So although I could be wrong, I would not mind Google’s warning too much really … ??

only remark; your inlined CSS is rather … bulky. are you sure that cannot be trimmed down?
