• Hi, If someone can please help. I’ve installed since a year ago the SEO by Yoast (I do everything i’ve seen in tutorials, about making sure your titles and tag, and how to get a better SEO score before publishing a post) but for some reason, everytime I try to look in Google for that specific post, writing the specific title of the post, the only thing that appears on Google is my website’s title name and slug line. And in the part of description, the titles of all my recents published posts. How can I fix this once and for all and have my posts appear on Google searches the way I see it when I’m about to publish and preview my SEO information. Someone please help me!
    Thankyou!!

  • I’m having a similar issue where some things are working some are not.

For example, on the front page / homepage, my meta description is showing up correctly in Google as I defined it under Titles & Metas (under pages) however the Page Title as defined in Titles & Metas (under pages) is not.

Strangely, page titles for other pages are showing up as defined in Titles & Metas (under pages) however meta titles are not. They are taking text in some cases from my header in some cases from my footer.

    Any help appreciated

Ok. are you writing Title, Meta Description and Focus keyword in fields showing below Post body ? If yes then do 1 thing…visit this meta tag analyzer https://www.seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/metatag-analyzer.html
if it is showing the same description and title used in post, its ok. fine… Google will index may be after some time.. if not, then deactivate and reinstall plugin or use any other. like all in one seo packs..

Just to clarify how Google works.

Your page titles and descriptions are suggestions to Google. If they decide it’s not relevant, they will automatically generate something they consider relevant to the search query.

Sometimes even pages with well-formulated, concise, descriptive titles will end up with different titles in our search results to better indicate their relevance to the query.

    and for descriptions:

Google will sometimes use the meta description of a page in search results snippets, if we think it gives users a more accurate description than would be possible purely from the on-page content.

Great thank you so much Viktor and usmansfp, I’ll try the metatag analyzer, and what i’m seeing is probably that- Google is grabbing titles from on-page content (titles of posts posted on the home page) and adds it as a meta description on search result snippets. Thanks again!
