google links problems in wordpress website

  • Hi
    Google sent me a report that there are problems whith some links in my wordpress website
    I don’t understand what are these links and can i fix the problem

    Is it in the sitemap?
    Do i have to just delete these links in sitemap file sitemap.xml and reload it?

    The links are requests through the REST API of your site. Such requests are normally made by client side code, so Googlebot should never “see” such links. They are not in your sitemap either. But if Googlebot tried to follow those links, then they appeared somewhere as normal links in anchor tags like www.guitarart.co.il/about/ would. In Google Search Console, determine where these API links are from and investigate that source. Either correct the source to reference proper HTML resources, or verify no such links exist. You can then mark the link in Search Console as fixed.

    I deleted them from the sitemap manually and uploaded the updated sitemap to google again. Is it right what i did?

    Oh, OK. Yes, that’s good. How did the links get there to start with though? You don’t want to have that repeated. If you don’t need to regularly re-create sitemaps or do so manually, then it doesn’t matter. Some sites use an automated sitemap scheme that keeps up with the latest posts. There is usually some mechanism to specify certain sorts of links not be part of the sitemap.

    I don’t know how those pages were added there
    but i don’t change the sitemap very often so it’s good for now
