Google map and adresse coordinates

    Hello hello !

    I am a very happy wp event user and use it on several sites. Great plugin ??

    BUT (there is always one huh ?? )

    I have a real problem with Google maps. Indeed, the only solution is to enter the address to have the map. BUT many places are not recognized by GM, such as deserts, little roads, etc, even real addresses, regarding the concerned country.

    Is there a way (or better a chance !) to let us precise the precise coordinates to have a map even if GM dont find it ? And that those coordinates could force the map on the address ?

  • Hi,

    I think this could be more of a problem with some locations not being marked accurately in some areas in Google Maps. I’ve found that’s the case in remote parts of Greece, for example.

    That said, on the Add / Edit Event page you should be able to drag the map pointer if it’s not in the right place.

    the problem is that there is NO map to correct. Only the mention “google is not able to locate this place” ??

    You mean even if you try to add a simple location like New York (with United States selected in the Country dropdown) it still doesn’t find the location?

    That could be caused by a Javascript conflict. Have you tried switching to the default theme and deactivating all other plugins to see if that corrects the problem?

    ho ! of course no ?? I do have maps on approximative location. In this particular case GM does not find anything so do not even propose anything. Others works fine ??
