    Hello, We are getting an error message on our google maps for the events

    Oops! Something went wrong.
    This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical…

    Not sure what is going on, any assistance would be appreciated.

  • Saw the same problems on one of my sites. Turned out that there were space characters at the beginning and end of the Google API key value. (Introduced by a recent plugin updates?)

    Remove the leading and trailing spaces and reload the event page.

    You should also deal with the Google Maps Platform billing changes if you have not already.

    Thanks Chris, you are right. I stumbled on that detail when I reloaded the API key and noticed it looked like there was a blank space at the front, and voila, all is good. I was worried that it might have had something to do with the new requirements from google maps to set up billing.

    Can you please tell me where to put the key. Made this once moons ago and can’t remember. And I would really like to get this problem fixed.

    No problem, it is under Settings, General near the bottom Google Maps, Google API key field
