Google Maps API

Can you please advise as to what I should try next to get the maps to work. I have followed the various instructions I have come across in the various posts (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/getting-google-maps-to-work/) on this matter but all to no avail and have gone around in circles for several hours on this; using Google Maps Platform API Checker gives me the following errors:
ERROR: This site doesn’t seem to be using an API key. Keyless usage will soon be deprecated. Please set up and secure a key for your project.
JS API Call #1:
https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?v=3.exp&sensor=false&ver=6-9-21-006JS API Call #2:
https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?For sure I have set up an API Key, together with the appropriate Billing Account. Are there any further suggestions you can make as to what I should investigate next?
