    Hi GME support,

I am trying to put a link on my Google Maps Marker wherein it points to a tab container so the marker link I added only has something like (#0b5735ac-45dc-5) to be able to open a bridge theme’s tab. Unfortunately, after clicking the marker, it points me to a blank page. Is this possible to achieve?

    Thank you.

    Hi Supsystic,

Here’s the link of the page I am currently working on with GME plugin relating it as tab trigger aside from the tab controls itself.

Please bear with the tab container as it still doesn’t have any content.

Sorry I sent the message 3 times, having intermittent connection as of the moment.

    Hello!

The problem is that you have added only hash code for the marker link. You need to enter full link to the page and in the end of the link add the hash. The link should look like this –

    https://www.gelid.appslicable.com/test-page#0b5735ac-45dc-5

    Please try it.

Also please check this article – https://supsystic.com/google-maps-api-key/
I saw this error on your page with map – “Oops! Something went wrong. This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.”
The problem is connected with the update of Google Maps APIs Standard Plan. Now it has certain restrictions. Despite the fact we have already added Google API key for our Google Maps Easy plugin, since the large number of plugin users, we can simply exceed limits of map loads per day, therefore you may encounter with this problem. So to avoid this problem, we’ve added the option to use your own API key and released a new version of Google Maps Ease plugin. Please update it, you’ll find this option on Settings tab – https://prntscr.com/bymcar. To create you own API key – just follow this link – https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/.
You can find more information in this article – https://supsystic.com/google-maps-api-key/

    Thank you Supsystic!

I’ll try that one and let you know how it goes. I’ll also fix that google api requirement.

    Thanks!

I tried adding the hash and now it gets appended on the URL which is correct. However, is there a way that I can add an active class on its parent <li> to open its div container?

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

    Thanks!

    Hello!
You cannot switch tabs by clicking on the marker through our plugin. But you can add a little script in your theme that will do something similar to the following: determine whether there is the hash for a link to a page and if there is – will receive its value, and then find on the page refer to this hash value and change the style for the<li> tag where is the link placed – https://prntscr.com/c325wg

    Thank you Supsystic!

I’ll just work on a javascript to enable the parent <li> to have an active class.

Will mark this thread now as resolved.

    Thank you!
