Google-Maps-GPX-Viewer is disabled by Add Posts to Pages

Maps using Google-Maps-GPX-Viewer are disabled by the plugin.
The line
$content = wpautop(do_shortcode($content));is to blame.
Presumably this line is altering the shortcode of the map plugin and stopping it working.Editing the plugin and removing ‘do_shortcode’ the functionality is restored:
$content = wpautop($content);Only thing is I don’t know what other consequences this might have.
