Google Maps not showing in event

Looks like I have a conflict in the paypal donation plugin I’m using. Deactivating that causes all maps to show up. I’ll look into this more.

I also have this problem. I followed all guidance (checked settings, checked Google API, deactivated all other plugins, reverted to twenty-seventeen theme, and and cleared browser cache and tried multiple browsers).

My request to their help desk has produced no result. They speak of support ickets but provide no option to raise one I can see.

Upgraded to Premium with no result. Wasted $89.

the problem was a bad google api key

I have the right Google API Key, just generated it 1 hour ago and the map is still not showing: https://berarservicii.ro/curs/stagiu-instruire-stivuitorist-9/

I have the same problem. I hadn’t changed anything and then this problem cropped up. Happens on all browsers I have tested. When the event first loads, I see the map and the the Oops message pops up over it. If I double click on the message, the full map page loads fine. I have deleted and recreated my API key…same issue. I made sure the key was enabled for all APIs. Still same issue. Could this be related to a Java update?

I solved it in the following way:

1. install the “API KEY FOR GOOGLE MAPS” plugin

2. Create the KEY API (Settings / Google Api Key)

3. Copy the same KEY API (Events / Settings / API) and save changes.

4. Clear the browser cache + update and go!

I just used this plugin to fix my problem.

FYI – One thing I had to do was remove the API key from the Events Plugin. Once I did that, the map worked!

It’s a mystery to me as to why this problem is so persistent for so many. Perhaps it’s the enqueue problem? Dunno… just happy it works!

Ok, I just installed the plugin as well, thanks for the info, but then you have to pay for the Google API access, right? (indeed, it seems that I am otherwise limited to one request par day towards the API with my key…)
