Google Maps not showing on event details page

Same problem. Since last update, embedded google maps no longer appears on single event pages no matter what settings are selected.

I’m sorry you’re running into this issue. Have you tried deactivating other plugins to look for a conflict, or switching to a default theme like Twenty Twelve? If you need help, please read this guide to testing for conflicts.

If you do find a conflict, you can try getting in touch with the developer of the theme or plugin and see if they can shed some light on the issue.

I also find that maps are not displaying in 3.8. I have confirmed that rolling back to 3.7 fixes the map display.

Why conclude this is not a bug and refuse to investigate further? Rather than encourage me to purchase the paid version, this lack of responsiveness makes me wary.

I’d be grateful if someone would at least be sure this isn’t a bug introduced into the latest version. Thank you.

I just tried switching to default theme and deactivated all other plugins, still no map.

Looks like I should go back a version.

Confirming the same issue with 3.8. Didn’t try changing to a default theme but did check for conflicts with other plugins and had none.

Reversion to 3.7 presented no problems.

Thanks for trying those debugging steps. @deepbluec, we by no means concluded this is not a bug. Regardless of whether it is a bug or not the logical next step is to isolate the problem. The easiest way to do that by far is to test if there are conflicts, since 90% of the time that will narrow it down to a handful of possible problems, and sometimes even a few lines of code.

One possible related issue I saw recently is that the map id# we output in our gmaps <div id=””> was getting messed with. Instead of an integer it was an error message. Can any of you kind folks share a link to your website where this problem is happening? I can hutn for that problem or maybe something else.

I would love to reproduce this problem on my own and not bother you, but the trouble is I can not! Try as I might I am unable to reproduce this. It is likely you all have something in common here. What theme are you running, and what plugins have you recently run on the site? Have you ever attempted to dequeue the tribe_gmap script? Because we recently changed the handle for that. Do you have any theme overrides, or have you perhaps created some in the past? The more info the better. At the moment I am left with blind stabs in the dark. I want you all to be able to update to 3.8 and beyond, so please share what you can. Thanks for posting, I will keep an eye out for your responses.

Awesome! We are rolling out a release here rather soon that will include a fix for this. It was a bug in how our plugin updated past settings. Some of them did not get updated properly depending on your past versions and option configuration. Thanks for reporting it! Please let me know if that does not fix it for any of you. Cheers!

I am running 3.9.1 on WP4.1 and have no google map (of course made sure I have venues with proper addresses, all checkboxes in places, tried switching templates, etc.etc. sill having problems… putting the snipped above into functions.php made no difference. ??

debugger throws an error “google not defined”

Map appears after I disable “Root Relative URLs” plugin

Same issue here with me and 4.1. Map iframe shows but no map. I have disabled all plugins except Woocommerce. Disabling map feature until this is resolved.

Just so you know neither of those issues sounds related to the above, which was a very specific problem involving only one version of our plugin and if you have previously upgraded. For your issues I would advise a conflict test, as it sounds like a JS conflict: Test For Conflicts
