    Hi
I am using the Time.ly All In One Events Calendar on this site. I have created a Google Maps API key and entered it in the settings. I have got the map to show/work on the editor by entering the coordinates of the venue (not by entering the postcode which would normally get the map to show. However, the published event shows only an empty box.
I have checked the theme and the footer.php file does call the wp_footer.
Do you have any ideas please?
    Thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @fionder,

You will need to enable the Geocoding API (you can enable other APIs as well) under APIs in the Google Cloud Platform Console to resolve this error. To do so, please follow the steps below:

    1. Go to GCP dashboard https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/dashboard?
    2. Click on “ENABLE APIS AND SERVICES”
    3. Search for ‘Geocoding API’
    4. Click on the Enable button.

    Best regards,
    Ben

    Hi Ben

Thanks for this. I have enabled the Geocoding API but it is still not working. Does it take some time to resolve?

Going into the event editor I see that the map is no longer showing correctly as it was and is showing the error message:
    Oops! Something went wrong.

This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details

    .

    Best regards

    Fiona

    Hi Ben

I realised that the application restrictions I had put on the API were incorrect so have now added:
    campapaco.fionastoreydesign.co.uk/*
    *campapaco.fionastoreydesign.co.uk/*

This has restored the map in the event editor, but it is still not showing on the published event. However if you click on the full screen map that does work.

    Best regards

    Fiona
