Google Merchant and SSL: Paypal is not enough

    Hi,
    i am just sharing with you what i found hoping that you may had a different experience.

    Google Merchant just suspended the account due to the fact that “no online payment is present”.

    The shop (*) is using paypal and it works perfectly; however Google require that (i am quoting) “the elaboration of personal information (like the shipping address) must be protected by a valid SSL certificate”. Therefore the checkout page violate the policy of Google if it is not using SSL.

    Did you had similar experience? How did you solve this problem? is SSL mandatory?
