Hi, I updated to Version:?2.4.11 and have now received a warning from GMC that Between 11 July 2023, 19:15:00 BST and 12 July 2023, 01:15:00 BST, we detected a drop in the number of active items in your Merchant Center account. (The drop is about 30% of the listings or 500 products)

Given no other activity was carried out that may have affected the merchant listings can you suggest any change in the plugin that will stop listings.

    Please advise?

    Regards,

    Renners

    Hi @renners

Firstly, I want to assure you that I understand your concern about the decrease in the number of active items in your Google Merchant Center account. It seems like this issue came up after you updated to Version 2.4.11 of Google Listings & Ads.

While it’s not common for an update to cause such a drop, there could be several factors at play. It’s possible that the update might have caused some temporary disruption in syncing your product listings with Google Merchant Center. However, this is usually resolved automatically within a few hours.

If the issue persists, I would recommend the following steps:

    • Resync Products: Try manually resyncing your products with Google Merchant Center. You can do this by going to Marketing > Google Listings & Ads > Product Feed and clicking on Sync products.
    • Check for Errors: Navigate to Marketing > Google Listings & Ads > Product Feed and check if there are any errors listed. If there are, resolving these errors could help restore your active items.

If after following these steps the problem still persists, please share a copy of the following:

    • System Status Report: navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.
    • Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

Just a friendly reminder that Google will take a product off a feed if it hasn’t been refreshed in 30 days. But don’t worry; the Google Listings & Ads extension has got you covered. It resubmits the product for you. However, it’s a good practice to keep updating your product with the latest information.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Hi @shameemreza

    Thank you for your reply.

Re: – *Resync Products:* Try manually resyncing your products with Google Merchant Center. You can do this by going to *Marketing > Google Listings & Ads > Product Feed* and clicking on *Sync products*.

I don’t have a ‘Sync Products’ option on the page should it be a button or hyperlink?

I’ve 11 errors that were present previously, these have previously been addressed however don’t appear to disappear.

    The page Overview shows

    • Active 962
    • Expiring 0
    • Pending 0
    • Disapproved 2
    • Not Synced 1

Feed setup: Free listings setup completed 11 issues to resolve.

Sync with Google: Automatically synced to Google Last updated: 12th July 2023, 5:19 pm, containing 964 products

It would appear that some products have resynced by themselves as the number active was originally 824 (down 29%) so they may be reappearing.

I have no fatal errors that would affect this issue.

    Hi @renners

Apologies for the confusion. Google Listings & Ads?will automatically sync your WooCommerce product data to Google Merchant Center, and you can add or edit your products individually or in bulk. So, you don’t need to do the manual resyncing.

Regarding the 11 errors that have not disappeared, even though they have been addressed, it’s possible that Google hasn’t updated the status yet. Google updates the status of product listings approximately every 30 minutes, but in some cases it may take longer.

Looking at your overview, it seems like most of your products are active and syncing correctly. The ‘Not Synced’ product could be due to a temporary issue with Google Merchant Center, or it could be a product that doesn’t meet Google’s product data requirements.

Additionally, If you continue to experience issues, please share your System Status Report, which you can find via WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Once you’ve done that, You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here. This will help us investigate further and provide you with a more accurate solution.

    Thanks!
