Google Merchant displaying countries don’t sell to

Which plugin are you using to integrate Google Merchant Center? Are you using the Google Listings & Ads plugin?

To have a better understanding of the issue you are experiencing, can you share a copy of the following:

• System Status Report: Navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select Get System Report and then Download for Support.
• Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.

You could copy and paste your reply or share it via Mozilla Community Pastebin and share the link here. This will help us investigate further and provide you with a more accurate solution.

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I am using the plugin, Google Listings & Ads. All plugins are up to date. Please find below a copy of my status report as requested, there are no error logs just ‘google-listings-and-ads’ logs which look like debugging logs.

Just to iterate, Google wants me to enter shipping details to some countries. On looking at which countries Google wants me to enter the shipping details for, those listed are all countries I do not sell to.

I am unable to delete them on Google Merchant, and Google tells me that the list has been populated outside of Google ie Woocommerce.

So the question is, why does Google want me to enter shipping for the countries listen in my woocommerce ‘countries I do not sell to’?

Just to confirm, this issue is happening since you started using Google Merchant, or did it use to work correctly before? – Did what work before?

Can you please update Google listings and ads and see if the issue persists?

If it does, it is good to run a conflict test to see if another plugin is interfering with this.

One thing I did not understand is if this issue started to happen recently or if it was always like this. The reason I’m asking is so we can pinpoint if this started happening after a plugin’s last update or not, for example.

Having said that, since the issue is related to Google Listings and Ads, can you please open a thread there as this forum is for issues on WooCommerce Core? You can open the thread here.

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

— Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

— Also, you can consider using a plugin like Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it is helpful to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

— It is important to consider as well a staging functionality in case you would not like to touch your production site (you can ask your host if they offer this service), or you can use WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

Thanks for your reply, I will post on the Google Listings & Ads thread to see if they can recommend anything.

As far as how long it has been happening, I can’t tell – but quite a while so I’m not able to pinpoint a time frme to eliminate plugin updates unfortunately.

Thanks for the advice on plugin / theme confict possiblities, I’ll see what I get from disabling them.

Thanks for the sharing additional information.

If you use the Google Listings & Ads plugin, please navigate to Marketing > Google Listings & Ads and click the Edit button for your Listings. Once the listing edit opens, Instead of All countries, select which country you want to sell. It should resolve your issue.

I ended up doing it all manually within GMC it seems happier now with no shipping errors so fingers crossed
