    Hi,

I have been getting emails and errors from Google via Google Merchant to update shipping info for countries by July 2024. However, when I view the list of countries Google wants me to add the shipping info – they are all countroes I do not sell to. These match the countries I have in my woocommerce datatbase under the, ‘sell to all countries except…’ section.

I can not delete the countries in Google Merchant becasue it says they have been generated outside of Google Merchant ie woocommerce.

Why does Google Merchant want me to add shipping to countries I do not sell to?

All plugins are up to date, the Google Listings & Ads is syncing correctly. I have also asked on woocommerce core thread – please find the link for the thread here where you can see screenshots & status reports>https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/google-merchant-displaying-countries-dont-sell-to/#post-17442018

Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

    Regards,

    A

    Hi @afzalpansuvi

I am currently performing a plungin conflict test after switching to a default theme did absolutely nothing. This process is taking some time as it takes a while for Google Merchant to update each time I deactivate a plugin.

Will keep you updated on the process

    Hi @agizzie,

That sounds like a plan. Please take your time, and feel free to get back to us if you encounter any issues.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

@anastas10s Definitely NOT resolved. If you read the thread, you will see I’m performing a plugin conflict test. As it can take at least 24 hours for Google Merchant feed to sync it’s taking a while.

    Hey, @agizzie!

I apologize. It is standard procedure to close threads if there’s no reply for a week.

But since you are running the conflict test, I have opened the thread again.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

OK still non the wiser with this.

One by one, I deactivated all plugins except all woo commerce and Google Listings & ads. I left 24 hours in between each deactivation – no change.

I ended up with just the woocommerce and Google Listings & Ads activated. I left it like so for 3 days – no change.

    All plugins are now reactivated.

Any suggestions as to how to proceed would be a great help, thanks

    Hi @agizzie,

It’s really odd that the issue still persists.

Could you help us delve deeper into the issue by sharing a screenshot of your shipping settings from both the Google Merchant Center and your WooCommerce settings? We’d also appreciate a screenshot of the shipping settings in the Google Listings & Ads.

For screenshots, you may use https://snipboard.io. Please follow the instructions on that page and then paste the URL into this thread.

Meanwhile, disconnect and reconnect your account to see whether it makes any difference or not:

Next, go to Marketing > Google Listings & Ads and set up the connection again.

Let us know how that goes for you.

    Hi @shameemreza

thanks for getting back to me here are the screen shots. However, looking at the countries listed in the Google Ads & Listings settings, it appears they don’t match what is listed in the Woo shipping settings.

I’ll try the disconnect/reconnect to see what that does and let you know.

I’ve disconnected and reconnected accounts here’s a screen shot of the product feed page.

The ‘account staus’ reads: No products addedAdd and sync products to Google.

Yet, below that in the ‘product feed’ both products are visible

    Hi @agizzie,

Thank you for your patience and collaboration. After reconnecting your account, can you please try to sync all your products again? You can do that on the connection test link.

Please let us know how it goes and if that fixes the countries now, with only the WooCommerce and GLA plugins enabled.

    Thanks!

I’ve deactivate all plugins again except all woo and GLA and re-synced products. I will report back any changes… if any

    Hi @agizzie,

This is indeed a good step to try and isolate the issue.

Please keep an eye on the behavior of your site and let us know if you notice any changes or if the issue persists.

Thanks for all of your suggestions however, none worked. I’ve now gone into Google Merchant and adding the shipping manually and GM seems to be happier. But, it still thinks the products are missing indentifiers which again, are all set up in in woocommoerce.

Something clearly isn’t working with this plugin as it should, it seems syncing just isn’t playing ball unfortunately.

    Hi @agizzie

Are you still getting shipping-related issues, or are they different identifiers now? For better assistance, can you provide screenshots showing the problem on your end? For screenshots, you may use https://snipboard.io. Please follow the instructions on that page and then paste the URL into this thread.

In the meantime, ensure you are not using any custom code to extend this plugin functionality.

Meanwhile, ensure it’s set to “My shipping settings are complex” in Marketing > Google Listings & Ads> Listings > Shipping rates section. It’ll ensure manually defined rates in GMC are used and prevent the extension from syncing your store’s rate.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    (@agizzie)

    Hi @shameemreza

I have set my “My shipping settings are complex” via the GAL plugin settings as suggested.

Because I’ve manually entered the shipping details via GM I am no longer getting shipping errors.

I’ve had a play around with the other identifiers via WooCommerce fingers crossed they have done the trick. Will find out in a couple of days I guess
