Google Missing field ‘name’

    Google continues to show a critical error of “Missing field ‘name'” for my blog. It says there are 157 of these same errors – on pretty much every page and post – itemized under “recipe” (though it’s on reviews, too). I’ve used two different recipe plug-ins and the error exists on both types, so I don’t think the issue is with the recipe plug-in. I’ve worked through every possible location where this field could exist and made sure they all have properties assigned. Yet it’s still giving me the error. When I ran a portion of the code through ChatGPT, it said that the missing field is the “author,” but again, the author of the post, page, and recipe are all filled in. Help.

    Thanks for reaching out about your site’s structuted data. I can confirm the error but it’s not coming from the Yoast SEO plugin since we don’t add recipe schema.

    When you view the page source, you will notice the part of the code is from line 1013. The Yoast SEO structured data out starts from line 67 and starts with <script type="application/ld+json" class="yoast-schema-graph">. Please speak with your recipe plugin developer about those errors in the rich results test tool.

    Thanks! I’ve reached out to my recipe plug-in, though all of the correct fields are filled in. They seem to think it is something else, but we’ll see. Hopefully we can figure out how to fix it ASAP. Thanks again!
