Google News Carousal feature

    I recently installed the GN Publisher, but my news articles don’t go to the Top Stories Tab?

    So am asking does GN Plugin help news articles go to the Top Stories Tab?

    Because most publishers have articles showing in Google Carousal? Can GN Publisher do that?

  • Hi Now Then Digital,

    The GN Publisher plugin is designed to optimize feeds for use in the Google News Publisher Center.

    When your site is approved in the Publisher Center, Google sets up a followable Publication for your site in Google News and lists you as a ‘news source’. You also get some control over the way your site is branded (name/logo) on Google news surfaces.

    However, being approved does not mean that your site will rank on Google News or appear on other news surfaces like Top Stories. Whether your articles rank there is determined by a news algorithm. Important factors that are considered include original high quality reporting, newsworthiness, trustworthiness, and accountability.

    It has been difficult for many publishers to get into Google News, Top Stories, and other news surfaces on Google. Like ranking on Google Discover, there isn’t a clear path… do this, do that, and your in. It used to be that way, but not any more.

    Also, i have updated to your new version, but i saw ‘Added New feature for protection of the feed content.’ How does this work? Where can read more about it.
