Google news Results Showing wrong Image from any random page.

    We have been using Yoast for a long time and in Google News results our news is showing but with totally random images.

    In each post’s meta og:image tag is showing featured images and same should be showing Google but it’s showing some random images from other pages not even from the same page.

    Can you please let me know what could be a reason and how to resolve it?

    Thanks for reaching out. The Yoast SEO plugin outputs a property called?primaryImageofPage?in the page’s schema data, a reference-by-ID to a node representing the page’s?featured image. This is used in search results thumbnails.

    If Yoast SEO is outputting the property as required by Google but Google isn’t showing it, the issue isn’t with our plugin. We recommend contacting Google for further assistance by posting on their forum at?https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/webmasters
