As per title, Google+ is no longer supported.
Could you please help to remove the icon place holder from the posts?
    Many thanks

Where exactly is the Google+ icon appearing? I see Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn

Sorry, maybe i didn’t explain correctly.

Underneath every post there are the “share this” icons. On my blog, it says in spanish “Comparte esto”

The icon is actually not appearing, as the admin I see twitter, facebook but the Google+ icon is substitued by a greyed out forbidden sign and the alt text says “The Google+ service has shut down. This sharing button is not displayed to your visitors and should be removed”.

It’s not very important since my visitors won’t see it anyway but I would like to have this removed.

No worries! Those icons there below is from a plugin – the social icons included with the theme can be found in Customize > Theme Extensions > Social Share > ON/OFF and are those that show up to the right of the post.

There is probably some plugin setting to remove it.

    Hi,

I’m having the same problem but on a different theme. I wondered whether your instruction above (Customize > Theme Extensions > Social Share >) should be the same across all themes?

When I got to Customize>Theme Extension there is no ‘Social Share’ option. I’ve clicked on all of the options that are available within ‘Theme Extension’ but none of them have a social share option.

    Thanks.
