I have enabled WooCommerce checkout and activated payment methods, including Credit Card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. However, there seems to be an issue where only the Credit Card payment option is displayed during booking, summary, and checkout. Apple Pay and Google Pay are not showing up at any stage of the checkout process, making these options unavailable for our customers. Also for booking form I’m using Quantic Lab paid plugin, chauffeur booking system. Now they say they can;t help with this as it is WooCommerce related issue.
I’m using?WooPayments?for checkout/ credit card and google pay please check this screenshot:?https://imgur.com/a/xQpOQhB

  • Hey there, @scotlandtravel! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Can you please add a default simple product via the default WooCommerce interface and check if the express checkout buttons work for it?

Please note that both Google Pay and Apple Pay only show if some specific criteria is met.

Apple Pay only shows on Safari and you need to have Apple Wallet configured.
Google Pay only works if you have Google Wallet configured on the browser you are visiting the website from.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

Well, I have tried adding my card on apple etc but again it just shows the option of credit card and not apple pay, while apple pay is set up on my phone and I use it frequently.

Please check this screenshot of woopayments it allows googlepay apple pay on checkout page etc

I’m confused about why the credit card payment is working, but Apple Pay and Google Pay options are not. I’ve tested it on Safari as well. I’m using the booking form provided by the Chauffeur Booking System. Their support team claims it’s a WooCommerce issue and won’t provide support for it. However, since these systems are interlinked, we need to resolve this together.

This screenshot shows the credit card option working fine on my booking form: Screenshot.

Please help me with this issue as soon as possible.

    Hey, @scotlandtravel!

Thanks for the screenshot and all the information.

I’m confused about why the credit card payment is working, but Apple Pay and Google Pay options are not.?

Express checkouts work a bit differently, so it happens that something affects only them and causes issues, but we are going to help you figure out what is happening ??

Were you able to add a default simple product via the default WooCommerce interface and check if the express checkout buttons work for it?
This is an important part of the troubleshooting process, to check if the issue happens when using a default Woo product.

Please let us know how it goes.

Yes, I did add the product but again it had no option of applepay or google pay. @carolm29

Also, I think gpay and applepay are not being synced or verified by apple ig? I’m not sure.

    Hey, @scotlandtravel!

    Thanks for confirming!

Do you mind sharing the URL of this product so we can take a look?

Furthermore, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:

I’m sorry I was not clear before. Can you please share the URL of the simple default product you added to test if the express checkout did not show?

    Thanks for sharing the SSR.
I didn’t find anything unusual on it.

The next step would be to run a conflict test, but before sharing the steps to do that, I wanted to check the simple product mentioned above, all right?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hey, @scotlandtrave!

    Thank you!

Unfortunately, it did not provide any insight on what might be happening, so let’s move on to the conflict test to see if something external is interfering with it, okay?

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

    — Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

    — Also, you can consider using a plugin like Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it is helpful to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

    — It is important to consider as well a staging functionality in case you would not like to touch your production site (you can ask your host if they offer this service), or you can use WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

You can find more about this in this guide.

Please let us know about your findings.

    hey, @scotlandtravel!

I was still not able to see Google Pay on Chrome on my mobile or Apple Pay on Safari, but when I checked now, it seems to be the same theme as before, have you switched back?

I was not able to see the screenshot you shared, can you please upload it again?

?NOw do you want me to check dummy product or should I check my booking form

When you switched the theme, were you able to see Apple or Google pay on the dummy product?
If you were, please check the booking product to see if with another theme it works.

    Looking forward to your reply.
