Please add a Google Pay Button Styling as desribed in the Googl Pay Brand guidelines.
    https://developers.google.com/pay/api/web/guides/brand-guidelines

Currently a purple “Pay now” button is used. No one will recognize this as a Google Pay Checkout option. Instead the users will be confused by the (non branded) “Buy now” button next to the “Add to cart” / “Go to Checkout” Buttons.

Why did you choose to add a branded Apple Pay Button, but a non-branded Google Pay button?

This makes no sense to me. The Branded Apple Pay Button is great. I would even like to enable the branded apple pay button while disabling the non branded Google Pay Button, if this was possible.

At least add a option in the backend to change how the Google Pay button is displayed, would be great.

    Hi @derweili

Why did you choose to add a branded Apple Pay Button, but a non-branded Google Pay button?

    This comes directly from Stripe.com – https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-button

The styling is controlled by Stripe.com and isn’t specific to the WooCommerce extension since this button is served via JavaScript. Any website or app using the Stripe.com JavaScript will see this styling. If you’d like Google / Samsung / Microsoft / etc branded assets served by the Payment Request button depending on borwser or client, please do pass this feedback to the Stripe.com team directly.

We have had this issue open for some time – https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/issues/1071

At least add a option in the backend to change how the Google Pay button is displayed, would be great.

Saying all that above, we are looking at a possible solution. It is technically possible with heavy custom code targeting each combination of device and browser to serve the desired button, but not something we’re offering support for.

The enhancement is with our developers and we will look at this in time – currently, there is no date for any change.

I will mark this thread as Resolved for now as there is a known reason for this.

    Thanks,
