I am attempting to set up google pay by following the documentation provided. Set to sandbox mode, google pay enabled and when I goto my cart page to capture my screenshots to sign up, at the tops it has the red error box that says Google Pay is not enabled for this merchant. Please enable Google Pay within your Braintree control panel.

Currently I have reverted my website to production api with google pay deactivated. How can I get Google pay to work in sandbox mode? TIA

    Hi @cbraun8675309,

In Sandbox mode, the GPay integration should always work. Are you certain you had Sandbox mode enabled when you attempted to test GPay? That error message will only be encountered when Production mode is enabled.

Can you enable Sandbox mode and GPay so I can review? If you have a staging site that would be best so your live site isn’t interrupted.

    Kind Regards,

Unfortunately I do not have staging available. I went ahead and switched back to sandbox and enabled google pay so you can inspect it. Im sure I have sandbox enabled and I did the test connection as well. I also cleared my cache incase that were affecting anything. Still showing me the same error message. Thank you for your time.

    Hi @cbraun8675309,

    Here is the error message:

Google Pay is not enabled for this merchant. Please enable Google Pay within your Braintree control panel..

That error is actually due to the fact that you haven’t enabled GPay in your Braintree control panel. You need to login to your Braintree Sandbox account and enable GPay. That will resolve that error.

When you use production mode with GPay, you will need to login to your Production Braintree control panel and enable GPay there as well.

    Kind Regards,
