Google Photos Authentication Challenges with Photonic

While Photonic’s authentication works seamlessly as per documentation for a majority of the plugin’s users, there are some cases where you might run into issues.

In the regular scheme of things, this is the sequence of activities:

1. Create a Google Project or reuse an existing one
2. Create a Client ID or reuse one
3. Enable the client id for use in Google Photos
4. Authenticate

Most people reporting issues have challenges with Step 4 above. Typically the issues are caused by the security configuration put in place by their web-hosts, or by security plugins blocking wp-admin URLs upon redirection.

I am working with Google to streamline the authentication flow by eliminating steps 1-3 in the above and making step 4 a lot less dependent on your local WP configuration. But this is a long process and is likely to take 6-8 weeks.
