google plus authorship not in settings

hi guys i am quite new to this so possibly could be a silly question.
i have just up loaded google plus authorship and activated it but it is not appearing in my settings on wordpress so i am unable to do anything with it. can someone please explain to me why this is. As i understand it after activation it should just be there?
