Google Plus Icon Size

The Google Plus icon size is vertically smaller than the others: https://puu.sh/jPvFY/107d2e3f31.jpg
I’ve checked the CSS and the height is set to 48px like the other icons.
It happens at all icon sizes and becomes more pronounced with a bigger size: https://puu.sh/jPw08/c315f69d8c.jpg
