Hello! When using a reCaptcha V3, I get an error “error checking Google Recaptcha, try again later.”
I excluded the CSS and JS code in the plugins of optimizers, but I either completely break the JS code or the same error.
“error checking Google Recaptcha, try again later.”

Wordpress and plugin WPForms Lite have the last version , Unconfluous mode is enable too

    hCaptcha doesn’t work too.
What can i do? Help me pls, thank you!

  • Hey @nellyscharmi4ss,

Thanks for reaching out and I apologize for the trouble you’re having with reCAPTCHA!

I took a look at your site and it appears to have several optimization plugins active: Autoptimize, W3 Total Cache, and WP Optimize

When you have a moment, could you please clear the cache on your site, deactivate the optimization plugins, then try the form again? It’s possible one of those optimization plugins is conflicting with the reCAPTCHA.

This will help us narrow down what may be causing the issue with Google reCAPTCHA on your site.

    Thanks!

Hello @williamdersh ! Thank for answer.
So i turn off all my plugins of optimization and i clear the cache after this on my site but i don’t have a result and have the same problem. But i think the plugins of optimization broke plugin WPForms lite, because i don’t have this problem before i download those plugins of optimization.

I forget to say. plugin WPForms lite is work without reCaptcha or others captcha.

    Hi @nellyscharmi4ss,

We took a quick look at the form on your site and it looks like the Autoptimize and W3 Total Cache plugins may still be active: Screenshot

    For Autoptimize:
In case it helps, I’ve included the script for excluding WPForms Lite JS here:
    /wp-content/plugins/wpforms-lite/assets/js/wpforms.js

Just as a note, you can use the above script with any optimization plugin that allows you to exclude a JS file path.

    For W3 Total Cache:
We’ll need to make sure that JS modification is disabled. W3 Total Cache has this option in two places in their plugin:

    1. The basic settings can be found on Performance > General Settings.

    2. The other submenu items allow for further fine-tuning of optimization settings. Go to Performance > Minify and scroll to the JS box to check if the JS minify settings have been enabled.

You’ll need to make sure that both of these JS modification settings are disabled.

    Hope this helps!

    Hello @williamdersh!
Sorry for the late response, my fault.

Yes, these two plugins are still be active, because I turned them back on when I tried to test the recaptcha without them.

    For Autoptimize:

When I tried to add js to the exception I get this. Attention! WPForms found a problem with JavaScript on this page. This form requires JavaScript to work properly, so it may not work as expected. For more information, see our troubleshooting guide or contact customer support.
Only the site administrator sees this message.

    For W3 Total Cache:

The minify option is disabled in the general settings W3 Total Cache

    Hi @nellyscharmi4ss,

    Thanks for those details!

It sounds like there might be a conflict between the forms and the site theme or another plugin loading its own reCAPTCHA, effectively breaking our WPForms reCAPTCHA functionality.

To troubleshoot this, please try the steps described in our detailed guide on how to test for plugin/theme conflicts.

    Hope this helps!
