Google Search Console

I’m trying to get my .co.uk website to redirect to the .com website when the user tries to access the .co.uk website from the US. This works when I set up the redirection with this plugin as I have tested it with a VPN.

The problem comes when I then try to verify the website on Google Search Console. Google looks at the HTML tag on the US website which causes the verification to fail as I am trying to verify the UK website. I am guessing this is because their servers are in the US (but I may be wrong about this). I do not have access to the US website.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so what could I do to fix this.
