Google Search Console error due to submitted noindex sitemap.html

This issue has affected my second site https://six9ja.com/, I wakeup this morning and I got a new message from GSC.

I have the same problem since today. Googling led me here, and I’m still searching work-around.

I have the same problem also, and I have one more affected page this is my ” Privacy-policy”, I think this must be ‘noindex’ or?

I also had the same message from Google – Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’

I had an incorrect setting in Yoast SEO.

I had “Show author archives in search results?” set for Yes under Yoast SEO → Search Appearance → Archives (tab).

But there is another Tab, Yoast SEO → Search Appearance → Archives (tab) → Date Archives Settings → Show date archives. that I paid no attention to that also needs to be set for Yes.

This solved the issue for me. Maybe you want to check the Yoast SEO tabs under Search Appearance if you are using Yoast SEO just in case.
