Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. Can you share a list of other plugins running on your site? You can also email them to [email protected] if you prefer.

I ask because WordPress should make every API request (/wp-json/*) noindex automatically. It looks like WordPress made this change about 5 years ago: https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/36390#comment:10

If you have any plugins modifying security, HTTP headers, REST API, SEO, etc. then I’d try disabling them temporarily just to see if it’s still indexed.

We don’t intentionally add any indexing of our scheduler URLs in our code.

In the meantime, I’ll also look to see if we can replicate this issue on any of our test sites with Google Search Console.

    Thanks,
    Nathan

Hello again, after reading some of the official Google documentation, one of the recommendations if for our scheduler to list “noindex, nofollow” instead of just “noindex”. There seems to be some confusion around this in various forums, but I’ll make sure we add the “nofollow” tag as well in our upcoming release of SSA later this week. Please update to the latest version when you see it available in your dashboard ??

    Thanks,
    Nathan

Thank you @croixhaug for your helpful replies!

Aside from all free & paid plugins we have, we have a couple proprietary SEO plugins. One of them is a JS script only, and another one is an actual WP plugin.

I wouldn’t think what we have should interfere with the “noindex” in URLs of API requests, yet as you’ve pointed out, anything can happen.

In case you still need it, I’ll gladly send you the list of plugins by email.

    Thanks!

Hi @tva36012 I just wanted to let you know that we did include a change that should prevent indexing and following of links within our booking app. Please update to SSA v1.4.6.10 when you see it available as an update.

    Thanks,
    Nathan
