    Hi guys,

This all goes back to my original problem with Google Search Console refusing to index one of my pages because it has a question mark before the AMP page (?amp)

On the OLD GSC, this would not be a problem, as I’d just ‘mark as fixed’ to remove it, then submit the new page without a question mark.

On the NEW GSC however, this option doesn’t appear to be there anymore.

How would I go about getting rid of the ?amp page and replacing it with the /amp/ page on the new GSC?

  • hi @steveraven

I would like to inform you that, /?amp and /amp technically both are same there is no difference in it, if the /?amp is not getting index then /amp also will not index.

However, could you please provide us the exact URL which is not indexing so that can check the issue and we will help you to get this issue fixed.

    Do let us know.

Right, I think I managed to fix it.

The address mysite.com/areas-near-you/?amp/ was not indexing, no way, in Google Search Console, giving me an error message saying that it wasn’t a valid AMP page:

A tag on this page requires an AMP component ‘script’ tag, which is missing.

However, I just placed the url into the ‘Redirection’ plugin with the address changed to mysite.com/areas-near-you/amp/ which went straight through and is now being indexed.

Fingers crossed that I now have a completely validated website!
